This brief is for a role within the Client Teams Department which is the main client facing team within the agency, and includes 141 people. The Client Teams Dept merged traditional Comms Planners and Digital Planners in March 2014, and brought these people together to deliver a central recommendation – and while they retain digital specialist planners with the department for that expertise and specific digital client contact when needed, they no longer think or plan in an online and offline way!
You are the first point of contact for clients. Your remit with clients is to hold great relationships; to deliver and ensure the delivery of great work from the agency; to know their brand, business, sector, performance and KPIs. They are also one of the key gateways into the agency for media owners. Their remit is to know the key, important and relevant media owners; understand the media landscape; to create good working relationships - in order to produce great and effective work together.
- The successful candidate should be a strong team player and will help drive their accounts forward.
- They want someone who can get to know their client’s business and sector well. They are also looking for an innovative planner who is able to lead a team and develop great client relationships.
- You should have a good grounding in the media industry with experience in handling fast moving clients.
- Strong integrated planning skills are essential, as is organisational and analytical ability.
- You will need to be comfortable within digital as well as ‘traditional media’.
